"Mowie" is my first pet portrait.....my beloved cat of 18 years. She had to be put down and I wanted to remember her with her portrait. I never thought she would be the inspiration for years of painting pet portraits for others. She won me first place at the North Carolina State Fair and I was thrilled. I understand what a portrait can mean to someone from painting my precious companion. Needless to say I won't ever sell this piece.
